Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) started production of gas-powered 2026 Subaru Forester SUVs back in October 2025. On February 3rd, the first 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid model rolled off the assembly line at the Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) plant, becoming the first Subaru hybrid vehicle produced in the United States.
While Subaru has supported our local economy since 1989, the production of 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid SUVs marks the start of a new era to match increased demand. In addition, the SIA plant serves as the birthplace for 2026 Subaru Ascent and 2026 Subaru Crosstrek SUVs.
